My very first Pinch Me box! :)

A few weeks ago I stumbled across this really cool website called pinchme.com that sends out boxes of free samples! I received my first box in the mail today and I am pretty excited to show you guys what I got! This has got to be the easiest way I have found to receive free samples and if you are interested in learning more just click HERE! All I did was sign up and fill out 3 surverys about myself and I got enough points to receive a free box of samples! The best thing is I already signed up for a new box yesterday, it seems like the points just keep rolling in! They open new sample box opportunities every other Tuesday, so that means you can get up to two free boxes per month, pretty sweet eh?

Here's what I got in my box...

 Gevalia Caramel Macchiato Froth Packet

Gevalia Caramel Macchiato Espresso Cup
* Fun fact: I don't own a snazzy coffee maker, I just open these cups and throw them in my regular old coffee pot and it works just the same!*

Rimmel Scandeleyes Lycra Flex Mascara
*This is full- size!* :)

Hollywood Fashion Tape Assortment Pack
Includes: Hollywood Fashion Tape
 Fashion Tape Shapes
 Accessory Tape Dots
 and Temporary Hem Tape

Pretty great box, right?
Did I mention this was all free?!?
Go get you one! :)

Rite Aid Couponing 12-9-13

I went into Rite Aid the other day with $17.50 in +UPS that I needed to use before they expired. Not much going on at Rite Aid this week either, but I had tons of rewards from all of the drugstores left over from Black Friday. I did pretty good on the price of everything, but lost all but $4.00 in +UPS. Ah well... there's always next time. I don't expect to see a really great sale like the one on Black Friday for a very long time. So you may not see many more hauls from the drugstores, unless of course I run into some awesome clearance. ;)

Here's what I got...

Finish Dishwasher Tablets $7.99 BOGO Free
= essentially 2/$7.99

L.A.'s Totally Awesome Laundry Detergent $1.00

Care-Bears baby wipes $1.00

2 Sinful Colors Nail Polishes $1.99, get $1.99 +UPS = essentially free (limit 2)
$3.98

Rite Aid Brand Antacid (Generic Gavison) $8.49
Use $1.00 peelie coupon attached to product =
$7.49

Oxi Clean Dishwasher Booster on clearance for $1.49
Use $1.50 peelie coupon attached to product =
FREE!

Lint Roller $1.00

Total: $21.62

Use $17.50 +UPS

Total: $4.12

Get $3.98 +UPS

I definitely could have spent less but there were a few things I needed around the house and I just decided to grab them while I was out. I still think I did pretty good, even though I hate losing all those +UPS... but whatcha gunna do?

What awesome deals did you find this week? Let me know in the comments below!

Walgreens Couponing 12-9-13

So I had $7.00 in Register Rewards left over from the Black Friday sales that I needed to use before they expired. Nothing worse than letting money just disappear. Too bad there was nothing great going on at Walgreens this week, and I really mean nothing. This is going to be a really boring and short post but I thought I would at least share what I did get.

Resolve Pre-Treat Spray n Wash 2/$5.00

Walgreens brand Napkins $2.49

Total: $7.73

Use $7.00 RR

Total: $0.73

See I told you it was boring! But I needed this stuff around the house and didn't want to pay for it. :)

Exciting freebies this week!

I am suuuuuuper excited about these sweet freebies I got in my lovely mailbox this week!
As most of you guys know I am an extremely frugal stay at home momma that loves to search for freebies and I like my coupons. I just want to stress to you guys that you actually will win a giveaway or two every once in a while but you have to be persistent. I get samples and freebies in the mail a few days a week and I love going to my mailbox to see what new goodies I will find. I get on the computer almost everyday and enter giveaways, sweepstakes, and I sign up to receive samples. My favorite place to search for freebies is a page on facebook called Hunt4Freebies, I suggest you go like them asap!

I got this free trial kit with Redken samples to try out. It is the New Curvaceous line which is for loose waves to spiral curls.

This sample includes:
Curvaceous Cream Shampoo 1.7oz
Curvaceous Conditioner leave in/rinse out 1oz
Wind Up reactivating spray 1oz

Next is something I am so so so excited about! I am really into using natural products but there are very rarely coupons or good deals on most natural products and unfortunately they are almost always pretty expensive. So when I found out I was a winner in the Pacifica Natural Skincare giveaway I was beyond thrilled!

Here's what I won!

Alight Multi-Mineral BB Cream $16
Dreamy Youth Day and Night Face Cream  $20
Sea Foam Complete Face Wash $11
That's $47 worth of awesome cruelty- free, vegan, and natural products for totally free!

Pretty awesome right? :)

Go on now and enter some giveaways!

Jackie

So... what's the damage?

How was your Black Friday?  I had so much fun at the drugstores! I thought it might be fun to show you guys everything I purchased and how much I saved by using coupons and each drugstores rewards system.

 Rite Aid

 Total before coupons and +UPS = $48.75

I paid: $3.26

I had a total savings of $45.49 and I still have $17.50 +UPS left over from these transactions!

Walgreens

Total before coupons and RR = $41.27

I paid:  $4.99

I had a total savings of $36.28 and I still have $7.00 RR from these transactions!

CVS

Total before coupons and ECB's = $15.48

I paid: $1.30

I had a total savings of $14.18 and I still have $12.50 ECB's from these transactions!

Grand total before coupons or rewards = $105.50
I paid: $9.55 for all this stuff! :) (happy dance)

I had a total savings of $95.95!
And I still have $37.00 worth of store rewards to use on my future transactions!
That just makes me so excited! I cannot believe I got all this great stuff for such an awesome price.
This was my first time doing this many transactions and rolling my store rewards. I think It went really well and I plan on spending even less next time!

How did you guys do?

One last Black Friday post about Walgreens!

I decided to drag myself to Walgreens one last time today to get a few more things. The sale ends today, so make sure you get there soon if you need anything you see below. I just now realized that Walgreens doesn't give you a limit on the sale items with RR, unlike CVS and Rite Aid. But if you try to use your RR from something like a certain shampoo and then you turn around to use it on the exact same shampoo you will not get RR back. It will take the RR from the previous transaction, but you will not get another one. Do you get what I am saying? Just try to use your RR on a different item each time so they keep rolling. I lost about $2.00 in RR today trying to figure this out, but I am ok with that because now I know how everything seems to work... Until they change the policy again. hehe... I never shop this much except for Black Friday week. I really get into it and then the rest of the year I dabble here and there whenever I need to go out for groceries or dog food. So the shopping posts should definitely slow down a bit, but no worries I have lots of great posts coming your way!
I really am not a couponaholic. Ya don't believe me, do ya?

Here's what I got...

Got2B Oilicous conditioner $4.99, get $4.99 RR = essentially FREE!

Herbal Essences Long Term Relationship shampoo $2.99, get $2.99 RR = essentially FREE!
* I did not get this RR back because I used a $3.00 RR from P&G which is the owner of Herbal Essences, so in order for me to have gotten a RR I would have had to use it on a non P&G product.

Walgreens Ultra Thin Pads $1.99, get $1.99 RR = essentially FREE!

4 Bath Tissues 2/$0.88 = $1.76

Total before RR and coupons = $12.43
Use $2.00 off any $10.00 purchase at Walgreens *This printed out yesterday after one of my transactions*
Use $9.00 RR = $1.31
 Get $7.00 RR

In the end I did lose $2.00 in RR but I am ok with that. There is not much going on next week, so I'd rather get as much of these great deals this week as possible.

Don't forget all the drugstore sales end tonight!

Pre- Black Friday: Rite Aid and CVS haul 11/28/13

Well...I'm guilty of running into Rite Aid and CVS on Thanksgiving. Don't worry the boyfriend was still sleeping, so me and Eva decided to take a ride and see what great deals we could find! Can I just mention how awesome my 2 year old is? She has been great these past few days of shopping, she says "Hi" to everyone and even blows kisses to complete strangers... Am I in trouble? Flirt much? Well, I can't blame her for the boy at Rite Aid... he was pretty cute. (;

 Here's what we found...

Rite Aid

6 Rite Aid Loofahs $0.39 each = $2.34

2 Nivea for Men Shave Gels 2/$3.00

Get back $4.39 ECB's

Black Friday Walgreens Haul!

How was your Thanksgiving? I hope you had a wonderful time with your loved ones! I kind of suck at shopping at Walgreens. For some reason I always leave CVS and Rite Aid without spending more than a dollar or two, but Walgreens always gets at least $5.00 out of me somehow. I obviously need to figure out what I am doing wrong so I can save even more money. I didn't have any Register Rewards going into this transaction, but I did have some Balance Rewards on my card. Balance rewards are points you get over time for certain purchases and you can use them like cash.

Here's what I got at Walgreens...

Transaction #1

Pssst! Instant Dry Shampoo $4.99, get $4.99 RR = essentially FREE!

Vidal Sassoon Moisture Conditioner on clearance for $2.49
Use Peelie coupon attached, $2 off any Vidal Sassoon Styling Product exp. 12-31-13
= $0.49

Total: $5.98
Use $5.00 Balance Rewards credit = $0.98
Get $4.99 RR

Transaction #2

Walgreens Maxi Pads $1.99, get $1.99 RR = essentially FREE!

2 Scunci Hair Elastics 2/$3.00, get $3.00 RR = essentially FREE!

Total: $5.29
Use $5.00 RR = $0.29
Get $5.00 RR

Transaction #3

Got2B Oilicous Shampoo $4.99, get $4.99 RR = essentially FREE!

Blistex Nurture and Nourish Chapstick $2.00, get $2.00 RR = essentially FREE!

Total: $7.41
Use $3.00 Balance Rewards credit
Use $2.00 RR = $2.41
Get $6.99 RR

Transaction #4

Crest 3D White Toothpaste $3.00, get $3.00 RR = essentially FREE!

Herbal Essence Mousse $2.99, get $2.99 RR = essentially FREE!

4 Sunny Smiles Toilet Paper Rolls 2/$0.88 = $1.76

Total: $8.21
Use $7.00 RR = $1.31
Get $5.00 RR

I would have spent $26.72 without rolling my RR and using my Balance Rewards. I spent a total of $5.90 and I left the store with $9.00 RR to use on my next transaction. Essentially I made $3.10 in Register Rewards to go shopping today! Not too bad!

Yay for Black Friday! Have you been shopping today? I'd love to hear what goodies you found in the comments below!

Rite Aid Black Friday Haul!

It's Black Friday!!! Wooo hoooo! I didn't go out last night or this morning like all the crazies... hint hint to my sister and mom! I actually really did want to go but we are sticking to a tight budget this year, and I decided not to set myself up for failure. That's why I am sticking with the drugstores. I just keep rolling my rewards and then all I end up paying at most is a buck or two plus tax. I know you definitely can't get everything you need from the drugstore but I am picking up everything I can give as a gift or anything my family may need. I'm sure Amazon will be getting a nice chunk of change from me at some point between now and Christmas, but you know me... I'll find some way to make a deal! Anyways let's get onto what I scored at Rite Aid today!

Here's what I got...

2 Hot Wheels Cars 2/$2.00, get $1.00 +UPS = essentially 2/$1.00

Rite Aid Invisible Tape 2/$1.50, get $1.50 +UPS = essentially FREE!

Carmex 3/$3.00, get $3.00 +UPS = essentially FREE!

2 Scunci Hair Elastics $1.99 each, get $1.99 +UPS = essentially FREE!

Palmolive Dish Soap $0.97
Use $0.25 off any Palmolive soap 10 oz. or larger (exp.11/30/13)
= $0.72

Philips Head Phones $7.99, get $7.99 +UPS = essentially FREE!

Total: $20.36
I used $19.00 +UPS
Paid: $1.36 out of pocket
Got back $17.50 +UPS to use on my next transaction!

Rite Aid has definitely been my favorite drugstore to shop at this week. They have had some amazing deals, and the sale ends tomorrow. So if you are interested in anything I've shown you over the past week make sure you get there asap!

Happy Black Friday shopping!

Great makeup clearance & coupon matchups at RiteAid!

I'm just hopping on here for a few minutes to let you guys know about the amazing makeup clearance that's going on at RiteAid. I ran into RiteAid today to get a new rewards card because my old one seemed to run away, and I'm trying to be extra prepared for Black Friday! Maybe Daniel "misplaced" it hoping I'd stop being such a couponaholic, but no such luck buddy! I had no intention of buying anything today, but of course I had to walk to those beautiful endcaps located at the back of the store where all the wonderful clearance lives! I'm sure glad I did! There were rows and rows of makeup on HUGE clearance. Were talking up to 80% off and you know me, the crazy lady with all the coupons. I was thrilled because I'm on my never ending hunt for Christmas presents and I hit the mother load today, I just wish I had more coupons! :)

Here's what I got...

Revlon Brow Fantasy on clearance for $1.90 (originally $7.50)
Use $1/1 Revlon Color cosmetic item (exp. 12/31/13) = $0.90!

2 Loreal Paris Project Runway Blushes on clearance for $2.45 (originally $9.95)
Use 2 $2/1 Loreal cosmetics face product (exp.1/14/14) = $0.45 each!

2 Loreal Nail Polishes on clearance for $1.25 (originally $4.99)
Use 2 $1/1 Loreal Color Riche Nail Polish (exp.1/14/14) = $0.25 each!

How awesome are those prices? See Christmas doesn't always have to be super expensive if you use coupons and wait for awesome sales and clearances! Can you tell I'm a bit excited? Now I just have to convince myself that I will NOT keep all this snazzy makeup. Hello, my name is Jackie and I'm a makeup hoarder.

My total before clearance would have been $37.38 + tax, after clearance the total came down to $9.30 + tax which is still a great price, but after coupons my total came down to $2.30 + tax. I just have to say it, Coupons... I kinda freaking love you. :)

I bet you wanna go to RiteAid now, huh?

Jackie

Product's we've used up and reviews!

It's that time again! I'm basically talking about my families garbage... but it's not as gross as it sounds, I promise! I've been collecting my family's used up products for the past few weeks so I could let you know if they are worth spending your money on.

Makeup

Almay oil free gentle eye makeup remover pads
These were great! I got these for free and if I can get them for free again I will definitely pick them up. They are not a staple item for me because I can just use coconut oil or olive oil to remove stubborn eye makeup. But these are much tidier and don't sting my eyes like a lot of other eye makeup removers.

Physicians Formula happy booster glow and mood boosting powder
First of all this was only halfway used up, but little miss Eva B decided to play with it and she accidentally shattered it. I'm not complaining. I hate wasting things but this powder was really crappy. I have normal skin and this had sparkles all over it so it made my skin look shiny, which is kind of the opposite reason I apply a powder. I do not recommend this to anyone, and if you have oily skin stay far away from this bad boy.

Bath and Body Products

Garnier Fructis sleek and shine moroccan sleek oil treatment
I love argan oils and I really liked this one. It was super affordable, smelled delicious, and made my hair look really nice. I would just apply this right after the shower and it would make my curls look defined and less frizzy without being crunchy.

Aveda damage remedy intensive restructuring treatment
Have you ever sniffed an Aveda product before? They are the best smelling things in this world, but they are so stinking pricey. The only reason I got to try this is because my awesome hairdresser gave this to me for free! Did I mention how awesome he is? I had a love-hate relationship with this though. It definitely made my hair feel and look stronger and healthier, but it did not detangle whatsoever. I liked it but detangling is a requirement for a deep conditioner in my book.

Lady Speed stick fresh infusions deodorant sparkling lime coconut
I am trying to use more natural deodorants but when I can get it for free I'll use the bad stuff. I know that's not good, but we are on a very strict budget ever since I became a stay at home mommy. I don't really need to talk about deodorant but this stuff smells ah-freakin-mazing! It smells like sun tan lotion, coconuts, and the beach and if you don't care about natural deodorants you should pick this one up.

Venus Embrace razor
I won this in a giveaway and this razor is awesome but the refills are way too expensive! Hopefully I get some more for free, cuz this girl is too cheap.

Schick Hydro 5 razor
I also got this for free from a sample site and it's a great razor as well but still way to expensive for me.

 Baby Products

Johnson's head-to-toe baby wash
Your crazy if you think I use this on my kid. When she was a newborn I did because I was not educated on all the terrible chemicals they put in this crap. This stuff has a form of formaldehyde in it, and there is no way I'm using it on Eva ever again. I ended up using this to clean my makeup brushes and it worked fine. But I will never purchase this again.

Johnson's natural head-to-toe foaming baby wash
We had to buy this when we went on vacation and lost Eva's regular soap in the car somehow. This works fine and the ingredients are a lot healthier than the regular Johnson's baby wash but I prefer Dr. Bronner's magic soap.

 Household Products

PartyLite nature's light white oak and sandalwood candle
This is easily my favorite candle of all time. This was a gift from my mom, and it smells so so soooo good. I really wish I could say I would repurchase this but it costs around $25. You guys know that just isn't gunna happen. I rationed this off for about two years, and this candle will make your whole entire house smell fantastic. If that price point doesn't make you flinch, go buy this candle and thank me later.

Holiday Memories mint truffle soy candle
These are sold a Kohl's and I love the fact that they are soy based, which means they are a healthier alternative to regular candles. This was really nice in the beginning but after a while the candle just started to smell like burnt chocolate, which is not my favorite scent. I have had this brand of candle in a vanilla cupcake scent and I loved it, so I think this was just a bad scent.

Febreze lavender vanilla and comfort air freshener
This lasted me a good 3 plus years. It actually smells really great but I hate spraying chemicals in the air around my pets and toddler. I only used this when one of my fur-babies had an accident or the house smelled a bit strange. I have a few more air fresheners to use up but after that I will not be purchasing them anymore.

Seventh Generation natural laundry stain remover
I really had high hopes for this natural stain remover but it really wasn't that great. It kinda worked on some stains and on others it did nothing. If anyone has any recommendations for a more natural laundry stain remover that actually works please let me know!

What product's did you guys use up recently?

xoxo,
Jackie
