I got these Mary Kay items for free from entering a giveaway Mary Kay was hosting! I found out about the giveaway from an awesome page on facebook called Hunt4Freebies. Hunt4Freebies posts the latest samples, freebies, giveaways, and store specials as soon as they hear about them. I have gotten a ton of great stuff all thanks to their awesome page. I highly suggest that you guys go like their page so you can go get you some awesome free stuff!

I got 2 Mary Kay at Play baked eyeshadow trios in the color Ocean View and these retail for $10 each.
I also got 3 Mary Kay True Dimensions lipsticks in the color Natural Beaute, these are new and aren't on their website yet. Don't you worry your pretty little faces, I will be gifting most of these items to friends and family. :)

Sorry the pictures are upside down I can't figure out how to flip them over. :(

Free is good, right?

Project 10 Pan!

I started a Project 20 Pan last year and unfortunately my blog stopped working and I'm kind of a failure and ...

Below is a picture that you may recognize from my last Project Pan attempt and I did finish up quite a bit! I still have some of it left and I am determined to get through these products this time! I have set new rules for this go around and I am only going to work on 10 makeup items instead of 20. I am going to allow myself to purchase makeup, but it has to be on a huge markdown for me to consider buying it. That means it must be free or pretty damn close to free, if it isn't then it won't be going home with me. I also cannot open any of the new products I purchase until I have completely used all of the products in my project. The only exception is if I completely run out of something, which is very doubtful. My last rule is I am absolutely not allowed to purchase anything off of the ELF or eyeslipsface.com website. That website is half the reason I am in this position in the first place. They run awesome deals and I think I made 3 purchases from them in a year and a half. I bought WAY to my makeup and realistically I want to get rid of more than half of it. It is so silly to collect makeup which is exactly what I have been doing for the past 3 years. I only want to have what I need and then a few little fun extras. At this moment in time I have about a hundred little fun extras and that's just ridiculous.

Old Project Pan

Some of these products are still floating around in my vanity and aren't included in my new project pan but they will definitely be included in the next one. I used 10 out of the 20 products, so I know I can do this!

New Project 10 Pan!

As you can see a lot of this is from my old Project Pan, but some of the items are new additions.

Here's a list of the products above...

Elf Mineral Foundation
Elf Clarifying Powder
Elf Stick Concealor
Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse (It just won't die!)
SoBare Beauty Mineral Blush
Elf Hypershine Lip Gloss
Elf Lengthening Mascara
Sally Hansen Clear Lip Liner
Elf Eyelid Primer
Chapstick Green Apple

I have used up one product so far and that was the ELF Lengthening Mascara.
This mascara is easily the worst mascara I have ever used. It did absolutely nothing for my lashes, I would apply a bazillion coats and nothing happened. I probably wore this mascara a total of 5 times before tossing it. It also flaked like crazy which is funny because I saw no mascara on my lashes in the first place. So just don't buy it.

Only 9 more products to go! This will probably take me forever since I don't wear makeup much after becoming a stay at home mom. I will update you as soon as I use up some of this crap.

As always, wish me luck! You know I'm going to need it.

Jackie

Awesome deal at Tophatter.com! :)

I recently discovered the website Tophatter.com and I wanted to share my purchasing experience with you guys. Tophatter.com is a lot like Ebay.com, everything is on an auction and you bid against other people for the items you want. As most of you know I am a bit obsessed with makeup, so shockingly that's what I purchased. Right now if you sign up for Tophatter.com and you get someone else to sign up and make a purchase, you both will recieve a $5 credit. You can have more than one account per household, so I just signed Daniel and myself up. After Daniel signed up he got a $5 credit which I used to purchase a blush, and then I got a $5 credit after his purchase went through and I used this to purchase another blush. Here is what I got....

I got two blushes from the brand The Balm, which is cruelty free!!! I have wanted to try this brand for a very long time, but they are extremely expensive. Both of these blushes retail for $21 each and there is no way I would ever spend that amount of money on a piece of makeup. That's just crazy! First I used Daniel's account and I won a bid on the blush named Cabana Boy, which I won for $5 and shipping was $5. So after I used my credit I only owed $5 on a blush that retails for $21. Next I went onto my account and I won a bid on the blush named Frat Boy, my winning bid was for $7 and shipping was $5. The total was $12, but then I used my $5 credit making this blush cost $7. All- in-all I spent $12 on the two blushes after using my account credits, and remember if I would have bought these blushes at full price I would have spent over $42! Yeah right... So already this is quite a good bit of savings! I went ahead and paid with my PayPal account, and I got a very exciting surprise! Paypal offered me a $10 statement credit if I joined their Bill Me Later program. The Bill Me Later program lets you pay your purchases off over 6 months with no interest. So after I signed up I immediately got the $10 credit, and that made my total purchase amount only $2! I got each blush for $1 each, which means I saved over $40! I am soooo excited! You guys should totally check this site out!

I read some mixed reviews about Tophatter.com, where some people loved the site and some people hated it. I had a great experience, the shipping was super fast, and the packaging was awesome! I was a bit nervous that the blushes might break while being shipped, but they came in perfect condition.

If you want an invite from me so you can get a $5 credit just let me know and I will send one on facebook!

Thanks for reading and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Jackie
