Beauty Products we've used up!

Here are all of  the beauty and hygiene products we've used up recently along with some short reviews. Most of you guys know I am a beauty product junkie and I love doing these types of posts! I hope you enjoy and find some new products you'd like to try!

Suave Juicy Green Apple Conditioner
I loved this conditioner and for $0.99 it's a steal! The smell is delicious and this got all of the tangles out of my curly and easily knotted hair. I am so impressed with this conditioner because it is so inexpensive, there really is no need to purchase pricier conditioner.

Clear Strong Lengths Nourishing Shampoo
I loved this shampoo! I have curly, dry, knotted hair and this shampoo almost felt like it detangled, which most shampoos do just the opposite. This shampoo smells awesome, and definetly nourishes the hair as it claims to do. This shampoo is great for dry, curly, or damaged hair. If you have thin or straight hair this may weigh it down a little too much.

Rudy Curly Hair Mask
Ooooh man, did I HATE this hair mask. It did absolutely nothing for my hair. I got this huge tub at Ross for $3.99 like 2 years ago and it is finally gone! It did not detangle whatsoever. I would not recommend this.

Ivory Hair and Body Wash
I got this complimentary from Influesnter.com to try out and review. We really enjoyed this as a moisturizing body wash! It works well in your hair too as a shampoo but I prefer it as a body wash. It is so moisturizing that you really don't need to apply lotion afterwards. It also foamed up so much that you could use this in place of shave gel.

Purisitcs Night Recovery Cream
I used to love this night cream but something about is just isn't right anymore. I don't know if that was a bad bottle or if maybe my face doesn't react well to this product anymore? It started balling up on my face a few minutes after I applied it. If I touched my face after applying it little white balls of lotion would be all over my hands and face. I ended up using the rest of this on my hands and feet. Sadly, I don't think I will be repurchasing this, and it's really a bummer because it's organic and about $2.00 at BigLots.

Clean and Clear Fruit Infusions Reviving Cleanser
I used to dislike this face wash because of the smell and I felt like it may have been breaking me out. But after a while I tried using it again and I really like it. It foams up a lot, it removes all traces of face and eye makeup, and it leaves you face moisturized. The smell isn't my favorite but it does wake you up a bit when you use it in the morning.

Nivea For Men Face Wash and Shave Gel
This is definitely not my favorite shave gel. It doesn't really foam up at all so you end up using a whole lot of product. Yes, this is for men but I will use whatever I can get for cheap. Daniel used this as a face wash and didn't seem to mind it, but I do think it may have been drying his face out a little bit.

Physicians Formula Wrinkle Filler and Deep Moisture Repair
I won this in a giveaway, thank you very much Physicians Formula!!! No I do not have a ton of wrinkles or anything but I really enjoyed this product. I used this as a night moisturizer and it worked really well! It moisturized without leaving my face oily and in the morning I would wake up to fresh looking skin. This stuff is pretty pricey so I won't be purchasing this but it was really nice to try!

Montagne Jeunesse Dead Sea Mud Spa Sheet Mask
I received this complimentary from Influenster.com to review and sample. I absolutely LOVED this sheet mask. It was really cooling, refreshing, super relaxing, it felt like it de-puffed my eyes a bit, and it tightened my pores a whole lot! This is a sheet mask which means it's a fabric mask that you lay on your face for about 10-15 minutes. I left this on for about 30 minutes just because it felt so nice, I did not want to take it off! After you take it off you rub the residue into your skin like a face wash and then rinse it off. I was left with glowing, tighter, fresh looking skin. I loved this mask and would love to try out some more!

Bath and Body Works Chocolate Chew PocketBac
This is just a chocolate scented hand sanitizer that fits into one of those little pouches that you can attach to your purse or diaper bag. Every time I used this people would say how great it smelled and would ask for some. Daniel hated the scent. It smells like chocolate, but I can see how some people could find it over powering.

Olay Regenerist Eye Cream
I got this complimetary from VocalPoint.com to sample and review. This comes with the clear lash serum on the other end, I haven't finished the serum just yet. This eye cream is nice, I didn't notice a difference but since I am still young I don't have too many wrinkles around my eyes yet. I know it will come with time, so I try to use an eye cream now to help prevent them for as long as possible. Who knows, it may all be a bunch on bologna but I think it's worth the extra step in my facial care regimen. I will not purchase this myself because it is pretty expensive and I would rather use a more natural product.

Yes To Carrots Daily Facial Moisturizer with SPF 15
This was an awesome steal for $3.50 at BigLots! I loved this face moisturizer! It moisturized without leaving my skin oily and it has an SPF 15 which is always a must for me during the day. I love that this is 97% natural and will totally repurchase this if I can find it for a good price again!

Concha Nacar De Perlop Cream
I ordered this face mask on Amazon.com when I read some really wonderful reviews on it. This product is supposed to lighten scars and blemish marks. This mask is a white, gritty texture, and it honestly makes a huge mess when applied. This has crushed oyster shells in it so they tend to fall onto your shirt or the sink when applying it and wearing it. You are supposed to wear this for 30-60 minutes twice a week. I probably applied this 2 times a month because of how long the mask needs to sit on your face. This left my face clean, super soft, it shrunk my pores, and it helped with any breakouts I was having. This did not help fade any marks on my face, but I did not apply this as much as I should have. This product can also be used as a great face exfoliater. I don't think I will buy this again because of how messy it is.

Loreal Voluminous False Fiber Lashes
I really really loved this mascara. It has teeny tiny fibers in it so it adds extra length to your lashes. I found that this lengthened, separated, and added a decent amount of volume to my lashes. I finally had to toss is because it started flaking but I kept this way past it's expiration date.

Whew... that was a lot of empties.

CVS, Kohl's, and Target deals and steals!

I decided to get out of the house today and do a bit of couponing. I've been trying really hard to stay home and not go out and spend money, and I have been doing pretty well at it. But today I was on a mission. I really wanted to go to CVS to take advantage of the All laundry detergent sale, it was buy 1 get 2 free and I had a $2 off coupon to use as well. But of course, my store was out of the laundry detergent because that kinda thing just always happens to me. I also went to Kohl's to use a $10 Kohl's cash that my sweet mother-in-law, Linda gave me to use after she took me out for dreaded bra shopping for my birthday. I told her to take it but she insisted that it was part of my birthday gift, so I bought little Miss Eva B something of course! No worries, I really did ask for bras for my birthday, Linda probably would've rather bought me something more exciting. I really needed bras damn it! Why are you asking so many awkward questions? Lastly, I had to go to my beloved Target! It is right across the street and I really don't need to explain myself any further.

I could just go on and on for days so let's just see what deals I found today!

CVS

Just the basics paper towels on sale for $0.79
Scan your CVS card at the red machine located in the store and a coupon for these paper towels (making them free) will pop out!
After coupon and tax = $0.03

I originally planned on going into CVS for the All laundry detergent deal
It's on sale buy 1 at $7.99, get 2 free
I also have a coupon for $2 off any 2 All products (exp.4/13/14)  *You can use coupons on free items at CVS*  Don't believe me?, click HERE! ;)
That would end up making them $2 each, which is a pretty decent price.
I got a rain check so I will totally go back next week and get some! Make sure you ask for a rain check when a store is out of the item you want, they will honor the price at a later date when they get more product in!

Kohl's

I had $10 in Kohl's cash to use on anything in the store, so of course, I ran straight to the toys for Eva. What can I say? I kinda love that kid! If you don't know what Kohl's cash is, it's pretty much a store credit you can use on your next purchase at Kohl's.

I got Eva this super cute handheld Hello Kitty bubble machine! It was originally $18.99 but was on sale for 50% off which made it $9.49. After using my Kohl's cash this was totally free, I didn't even owe any tax!

Target

Fresh Express Caesar Salad $3.49
Use 1 Free Bag good for any fresh express salad, maximum value $5.99 (exp 3/30/14) *compliments of Moms Meet (blog post coming soon)*
= FREE! +  $2.50 overage!

Tidy Cats Litter originally $7.79, on clearance for $3.88

Mitchum Deodorant $2.69
Use $2 off any Mitchum deodorant (exp.3/30/14)
= $0.69

Loreal Lock It Hairspray originally $3.99, on clearance for $1.98
Use $2 off any Loreal Advanced Haircare Styling Product (exp. 5/10/14)
= FREE!

Garnier Fructis Beach Chic Spray on sale for $2.96
Use $2 off any shampoo, conditioner, treatment, or style product (exp. 4/14/14)
= $0.96

$2.50 overage from salad was taken off my total, which made my grand total for everything above a whopping $2.52!

This is why I LOVE target!

What great stuff did you find this week?

Jackie

Ulta haul!

Ulta is the very worst store for my 2 feet to walk into. As you all know I have a deep love for beauty products and a store that is dedicated to all things beauty is like my small slice of heaven. I have been trying really hard not to spend money unnecessarily and I pretty much fail at it all the time. On the other hand I have been wanting to start buying more organic, and natural beauty products for my family and I can finally say I have done just that! ;) The main reason I wandered into Ulta was because my birthday was on March 7th and Ulta gives you a free gift for your birthday! Ulta just started giving birthday gifts this year, so if your birthday hasn't passed yet I suggest you sign up for your free birthday present HERE! This year Ulta is giving you a free full-size Calvin Klein One mascara and it retails for $18! Pretty exciting, since I would never spend more than $5 on mascara.

Let's see what else I got!

California Baby Natural Pregnancy Nourishing Cream- no I am not pregnant, but this natural moisturizer was on clearance for $2.99 and it retails for $20, so I had to pick it up. I plan on using this a face moisturizer, and the best part is the ingredients are all natural!

2 California Baby Super Sensitive Shampoo and Body Washes- these were on clearance for $2.99 and originally retail for over $10, once again they are all natural and at that price I decided to get 2 for miss Eva B.

Bellaboo Buff Skin Facial Exfoliator- I love me a good face scrub and I cannot wait to try this out, this was on clearance for $3.24 and retails for $12.99, and once again it's all natural! Yippee!

CK One mascara- retails for $18 but was totally free since it was my birthday gift from Ulta! Can't wait to try this out!

Thanks so much Ulta for the free mascara and awesome clearance on the more expensive natural brands!

My first IPSY bag! March 2014

Helloooooo! I am uber de duper super excited for today's blog post! I just received my very first IPSY bag!!! If you have never heard if IPSY before you are totally missing out. IPSY is a company that you subscribe to that sends you monthly makeup bags filled with beauty products! It cost's $10 a month, you can cancel anytime, and the contents usually exceed the $10 price tag by a whole lot! You take a quiz when you first sign up that tell's the company what you like as far as beauty products are concerned, what features you have so the products can be personalized to you, and how much you are willing to experiment with new trends/products. I have been wanting to sign up for a beauty subscription box for about 2 years and I always talked myself out of it because well... I am extremely frugal. I really dislike spending money, but I really love beauty products. I have heard about quite a few different beauty subscription boxes on YouTube, and IPSY seemed like the very best option for me. IPSY has one of the lowest priced subscriptions and the contents of the bag are totally up my alley. IPSY seems to have a large focus on cosmetics (which are my fave!) and sometimes they throw in a hair mask or lotion, which I love as well. Now, if your someone who doesn't like surprises or experimenting much with makeup this bag is not for you. So I got my hubby-to-be's permission to try IPSY out since you can cancel at anytime and he said go for it! He's pretty darn wonderful, he let's me spoil myself more than I'd allow. ;) If you'd like to learn more about IPSY click HERE! and you will be redirected to their website. Also, if you'd like to see what people think about their subscription to IPSY you can always go to youtube.com and watch a ton of videos on it.

Let's see what I got this month, shall we?

This month's bag was called "Destination Beauty" and it was inspired by traveling.
Each month you get a new makeup bag that houses all of your beauty products. This month's bag is kinda funky and lots of fun! It seems to be a vinyl material and the print is one of artist's Klari Reis' geography- based pieces called "Street Anatomy" and it is inspired by San Francisco!

Chella Eyeliner Pen in Indigo- retails for $24, the color of the eyeliner pen is amazing, but sadly I am terrible at eyeliner so I most likely will try to sell this or pass it along to a friend.

NYX Love In Rio eyeshadow trio in "Barefoot In The Sand"- retails for $5.99, this contains a matte white, a shimmery taupe, and a matte brown, this is totally up my alley and I cannot wait to try it!

Pixi Flawless Beauty Primer- sample size, I love face primers and I only have one so this will be a lot of fun to try, this claims to even skintone, adds glow and provides hydration.

bareMinerals Marvelous Moxie lipstick in "Get Ready"- sample size, this lipstick is super moisturizing and the color is opaque and has a satin finish, this color is a gorgeous medium pink, I've already worn this and I love it!

Overall I think this bag is totally worth the $10 price tag and I will try it out for another month or two and see how I feel overall about IPSY and if I wish to continue with my subscription.

*To get a free Lash Domination mascara sample and free shipping on your bareminerals.com purchase use the promo code DFYF-BPHO-UMHM-52QS by April 30!*

My latest bzzzkit from BzzAgent.com!

Today I am showing you guys my newest bzzzkit from BzzAgent.com! I have raved about this site many, many times before but I am back to do it again! I just love BzzAgent.com! BzzAgent is a website that sends you free stuff every once in a while to review. If you want to learn more about BzzAgent.com  click HERE! to go back to an older blog post of mine telling you all about their website. Or click HERE! and you will be directed to BzzAgent.com!

Here's what I got this go around...

1 Full size Tone Body Wash in the scent Petal Soft
4 $1.50 off coupons for Tone body wash or a 6 pack of Tone bar soaps

My favorite thing to receive from a company or as a gift is anything beauty related. Anyone that knows me well knows that I love makeup, shower stuff, and pretty much anything that you can find in the beauty isles at Target. I am a bit obsessed, so when I found out I was going to try Tone out for the very first time I was uber excited. Yes... UBER excited. It doesn't take much to make me happy.

This body wash smells amazing and for me that was a HUGE surprise. I am not a floral scent lover at all. I tend to gravitate to more of a vanilla, musky, or sandalwood type of scent. So I was pleasantly surprised when I tried this for this first time and really enjoyed it! My fiance will even use this so it's really not too awfully girly. This body was is also extremely moisturizing, which is a huge plus for me. I love when I can use my body wash to wash my body and to shave with. It saves time, there's less clutter in the shower, and it saves me money because I don't have to buy shaving cream. It's also really nice because you don't even have to apply lotion after the shower because this leaves your skin super moisturized. I really love this body wash and will totally repurchase it! Thanks again to BzzAgent.com and Tone for giving me the opportunity to try this out! :)

If you want a coupon or two so you can buy your own just let me know!

Great freebie week!!! :)

I am just so excited to show you guys the awesome freebies we got this week! As always I got most of these freebies from liking Hunt4Freebies on facebook and by checking other freebie sites whenever I have some extra time. I always show what I get just so I can prove that it is worth the extra time each day. All of these things come in handy whether it be for my pets, for entertainment, for beauty, or for fun! I love getting these little gifts in my mailbox every week, it is like Christmas whenever I open my mailbox and it's full of fun stuff to play with.

Here's what I got!

Happy Birthday Card- I honestly have no idea what company sent this to me but no this is not any ordinary card. This card is made out of  paper that has wildflower seeds in it! SO I literally plant the whole card and beautiful wildflowers will grow! Pretty darn stupendous, if I do say so myself. Did I mention I LOVE wildflowers? No? Well I do! :)

Pantene Shampoo and Conditioner Set- You would be surpirsed how long these little bottles last me and I have super long hair. I'd say they last at least 2 weeks and they are perfect for travel, stocking stuffers, or just for fun!

Poise pads and Kotex pads and tampons- I know I seem to talk about this stuff a whole lot, but let's face it, us ladies need these damn things every month. Plain and Simple. I sure as hell don't like to spend money on stuff that just ain't fun so I'll take it for free, thankya very much!

Physicians Formula Endless Color Nail Trio- I won this from a Physicians Formula facebook giveaway! Thinking these colors will be perfect for my wedding day! Only 10 months away! :) :) :)

Self magazine- I get at least 10 magazine subscriptions every month and I love them! Best thing is they are completely 100% free!

Beneful dog food- I have 2 dogs, 2 cats, and a turtle. The turtles pretty easy and inexpensive to own, but the other's just about kill us with all the food they consume every month. Not really kill us, but you get my point. I love my fur babies but I do not love the price tag that comes along with each one of them. Getting these samples is extremely helpful. I like to keep these around and when I have a day where I can't get to the store for dog food, viola!

What freebies have you gotten recently? Go on, brag a little!

xoxo,
Jackie
