Black Friday Walgreens Haul!

How was your Thanksgiving? I hope you had a wonderful time with your loved ones! I kind of suck at shopping at Walgreens. For some reason I always leave CVS and Rite Aid without spending more than a dollar or two, but Walgreens always gets at least $5.00 out of me somehow. I obviously need to figure out what I am doing wrong so I can save even more money. I didn't have any Register Rewards going into this transaction, but I did have some Balance Rewards on my card. Balance rewards are points you get over time for certain purchases and you can use them like cash.

Here's what I got at Walgreens...

Transaction #1

Pssst! Instant Dry Shampoo $4.99, get $4.99 RR = essentially FREE!

Vidal Sassoon Moisture Conditioner on clearance for $2.49
Use Peelie coupon attached, $2 off any Vidal Sassoon Styling Product exp. 12-31-13
= $0.49

Total: $5.98
Use $5.00 Balance Rewards credit = $0.98
Get $4.99 RR

Transaction #2

Walgreens Maxi Pads $1.99, get $1.99 RR = essentially FREE!

2 Scunci Hair Elastics 2/$3.00, get $3.00 RR = essentially FREE!

Total: $5.29
Use $5.00 RR = $0.29
Get $5.00 RR

Transaction #3

Got2B Oilicous Shampoo $4.99, get $4.99 RR = essentially FREE!

Blistex Nurture and Nourish Chapstick $2.00, get $2.00 RR = essentially FREE!

Total: $7.41
Use $3.00 Balance Rewards credit
Use $2.00 RR = $2.41
Get $6.99 RR

Transaction #4

Crest 3D White Toothpaste $3.00, get $3.00 RR = essentially FREE!

Herbal Essence Mousse $2.99, get $2.99 RR = essentially FREE!

4 Sunny Smiles Toilet Paper Rolls 2/$0.88 = $1.76

Total: $8.21
Use $7.00 RR = $1.31
Get $5.00 RR

I would have spent $26.72 without rolling my RR and using my Balance Rewards. I spent a total of $5.90 and I left the store with $9.00 RR to use on my next transaction. Essentially I made $3.10 in Register Rewards to go shopping today! Not too bad!

Yay for Black Friday! Have you been shopping today? I'd love to hear what goodies you found in the comments below!

xoxo,
Jackie
